The DINITROL Direct FW, a primerless urethane, offers an advanced solution for windshield installations, ensuring strong adhesion without a primer. However, for optimal safety and performance, applying a primer or activator before installation is advised.
Key Instructions:
- Clean and dry all bonding surfaces, ensuring they're free from contaminants such as oil and grease.
- For glass installations below 5°C (40°F), follow the "Adverse Weather Conditions" guidance in the DINITROL AGR Training Manual.
- Use DINITROL 9100 or 9000 adhesives for installations in extreme temperatures, or install in a heated area until the safety drive away time is achieved.
- Requires a 26:1 thrust ratio caulk gun for proper dispensing.
DINITROL 538 Plus Primer:
A solvent-based, black primer that enhances adhesion and provides UV protection. Suitable for professional use, it offers:
- Effective priming for windscreen bonding with direct glazing polyurethanes.
- Compatibility with all DINITROL adhesive systems.
- Application temperature range: 5°C - 40°C, using felt or brush.
- Quick drying in over 5 minutes, with a shelf life of 12 months.
Important: Must be used within a week after opening. Not suitable if left open for extended periods. For professional use only.
